I'm afraid it doesn't qualify because it's not an interchangeable lens.  This means there's no way to tell what software tweaks the camera might be quietly applying 'behind the scenes' so there's no way to tell whether we're viewing an unadulterated image from the lens.

Pete.

Oh, Pete, none of my images are unadulterated; they've all been processed to varying degrees. 🤥 But your point is well taken. I promise not to transgress so again. 🫢

Russian PYCCAP MP-2, 20mm f/5.6 on Leica IIIf.

I have no idea who made this, or who PYCCAP is or what MP-2 refers to. I once asked a student from Russia what it meant, but she said it didn't make any sense. If anyone can enlighten me, I'd appreciate it. Cracking sharp lens, though not impervious to flare. It worked on my M6, but my M10-R won't play ball.

It is a good legendary Russian old glass that has already been reissued.

"RUSSIAN" in Cyrillic is РУССКИЙ so, to my mind, adding Cyrillic "AP" (phonetically "AR") to the Cyrillic PYCC (phonetically "RUSH") gives "RUSH + AR", which sounds like slang for "Russia" but I'm an Engineer not a Russian linguist so 'no guarantees implied or given'. :lol:

If anyone is interested in identifying which particular version of the 'MP-2' / RUSSAR they own this link might prove to be useful;
