Today I dug out the old Summicron 50 riged (11818R) and took a few pictures on the M11M. Only minimally edited...

Wow, the f/2.8 is a very rare lens!  There are plenty of f/4's around but, according to the 9th Edition of the Leica Pocket Book, only about 1,750 of the f/2.8 were produced (between 1998 and 2002).

I know another forum member who has (or had) one and he told me that when he needed to have it repaired a few years ago only Stephan Daniel was able to do it.

Well, the Nokton 35/1.4 v1 also came in both SC and MC. It's the MAP Camera Edition, which is optically a v1, that only came as MC.
