Thank you - much appreciated. No, I very rarely use color filters. TBH, I have become very lazy since going all-digital several years ago - and I guess my mind (incorrectly, of course) associates filters with film... What you are seeing here is just the combined effect of a low-contrast, but rather sharp, lens combined with the wonderful CCD sensor of the M9M and light-handed post-processing. Here are a couple more from the same trip to Venice back in 2016 (again, M9M + 1966 Canon 35/2). First likely wide open, second at f/4.

CCD Forever! Need to get my hand on a Monochrome. I'm using this lens on my M9 - it renders slightly cool, so I usually shoot at WB 6000K (or higher here in the high desert, depending on light).

Here's one from around the Summer solstice two years ago on Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake a little after sunset.
