farnz Posted November 17, 2016 Author Share #2988 Posted November 17, 2016 High anindyo. I have the same lens, but don´t know how to get it on a Leica M. Rangefindercoupled? You have to use a Contax to Leica M adaptor. Amadeo Muscelli made the one I use, it's not cheap but it is excellent quality. Make sure that you get the Contax adaptor not the Nikon adaptor: the (Contax fit) Zeiss Opton Sonnar will physically fit into the Nikon adaptor but the Nikon helicoid focussing pitch* was different to the Contax focussing pitch so focussing will be slightly off. *the number of millimetres per turn. Lens initially installed in Nikon compact film camera and modified for M mount by MS Optical. Lens is rangefinder coupled. I purchased lens from Hamish of 35mmc.com fame. Wayne Posted November 23, 2016 Share #2999 Posted November 23, 2016 I posted this photograph in another thread on this forum: L1000138-2.JPG The photograph was taken with Leica 28mm 6.3 Hektor LTM lens......a lens that does not receive accolades for rendering high quality results. I am developmentally disabled when it comes to meaningful discussion of technical qualities of lenses. I can only go with what appeals to me. I find this result appealing. My exposure and composition abilities, i.e. lack thereof, notwithstanding, what are your thoughts on the quality of this image? Is this a case where an optical forumula, originally intended for film, is finally coming into full bloom with the advent of digital capture?.....Or, is my ignorance of technical attributes of fine images still shielding me. I always keep my mouth shut when the finer aspects of photographs are discussed.......A difficult effort, as anyone who knows me will realize.
