Canon 100mm F2, wide-open on the M9.

This lens has a close-focus of just under 1m.

At 5~6ft or so:

It is a classic 6 element in 4 group (1-2-2-1) Planar, Canon's answer to the Nikkor 105/2.5.

1937 Carl Zeiss Jena 8.5cm F2, uncoated, Contax RF-Mount, on the Leica M9. I used a Contax-M mount adapter and made an indexed-Cam building up multiple layers of copper tape. This works as the Cam rotates as you spin it. The layers of copper tape correct the residual error from 1.15m to infinity. The Close-end of the focus range was hard.

All wide-open, and straight exports to Jpeg using LR6.

We are finally getting Spring in Norther Virginia.

This lens holds RF coupling to 0.65m

Also at F1.4, on the M8.

In a 1976 comparison of thirty-two 50mm, this lens scored very high for sharpness over the center 2/3rds of the image. "Edge", not so much. It's perfect on the M8.
