With my max ISO set at 800 and my minimum shutter set at 1/125 why is that the camera will take an under exposed picture rather than reducing the shutter speed like what happens on my S007?

Strange

because you set it at fixed limits and the camera has done exactly what you told it to.

depends on your point view as to whether the 'bug' is in the SL or the S007 which breaks the rules ..........

this all appeared in a similar form in the M series, but I can't recall exactly what Leica did about it ..... there were grumbles about that too.....

I have M240, Q, (previously X113) and (a rental) SL..

I can understand the confusion as each seems to implement Auto-ISO slightly differently, with slightly different configurable parameters.

Further, the M240 initially had a very different Auto-ISO for first 12-18 months until a FW update.

Not sure if they'll ever converge on something uniform..

Why is this a bug?

turn off the minimum shutter speed and it will give you correct exposure.
