Camera, settings, closeup method- Visoflex, macro lens, etc My dear "brucejones", I believe I will disappoint - or surprise you. As I am very old (82+), and since I stopped collecting some 20 years ago, I only use a very small and handy V-Lux 20 (DC Vario-Elmar 3.3-4.9/4.1-49.2mm ASPH, which is equivalent to a 25-300mm on a normal 35 camera. Macro is possible down to 3cm or about 1.2inch. And I will finally add that all my photos are always taken "free hand", and that the camera is always in my pocket (it is the second of that type I use in ten years, its only defect being the possible accidental introduction of dust on the captor, through the retracting lens...and the absence of a shade).
