Making it RF coupled with the precision needed for such a fast lens accounts probably for a good deal of the difference. If the Mistakon would (could) be RF coupled it would probably need to be 2 or 3x as expensive as it is now. Using it on the A7 eliminates this factor of course, and that is one of the reasons why using M lenses on non-RF bodies is not exactly cost effective.
