JBA Posted August 2, 2009 Share #1161 Posted August 2, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Been looking for a Leicavit for quite a while and finally found one yesterday for half the usual price because it had some minor scuff marks in the paint where someone had mounted it on a tripod. One less brilliant accessory for some fondler to entomb. Welcome, dear visitor! I'm sure you mean it's on the good side. But where on earth do cars have their steering wheels on the left side?

JBA Posted August 4, 2009 Share #1169 Posted August 4, 2009 That is cool JB We don't have many pics of Leicavit Nice add Thanks, Allan. It's a fantastic too for street shooting. It not only speeds up winding and allows me to keep the camera to my eye while I shoot (right-eyed), but also helps stabilize the camera. Glad I finally got one. msweeney Posted August 11, 2009 Share #1172 Posted August 11, 2009 This is my MP. Erik. What is that strap I can barely see... looks like a piece of cord or something??
Erik van Straten Posted August 11, 2009 Share #1173 Posted August 11, 2009 What is that strap I can barely see... looks like a piece of cord or something?? Yes, I've connected the camera to its strap (the normal one that is delivered with the camera) with a piece of strong nylon cord. This way it is much more comfortable to hold the camera and the connectors of the strap do no longer damage the camera. Erik.

JBA Posted August 19, 2009 Share #1175 Posted August 19, 2009 Been a while since you've posted any photos of your MP collection, Andy. Did you get another black paint camera or did you always have two? By the end of the week I'll be able to post photos of the black paint and silver chrome MPs I've just managed to acquire. I'm almost catching up to you!

Did you get another black paint camera or did you always have two? By the end of the week I'll be able to post photos of the black paint and silver chrome MPs I've just managed to acquire. I'm almost catching up to you! I had to trim my gear way down. I sold off both of the black chrome MPs I had (among other things), and replaced them with one (additional) black paint version. These are my only two M's, with just a few lenses. And I still have the IIIb my dad gave me years ago that got me into rangefinders.

RITskellar Posted August 19, 2009 Share #1178 Posted August 19, 2009 What straps are those, Andy -- they look nice and plain and simple. They are from LuxeCase. In my opinion, a perfectly simple and functional strap. I have four of them, now with two just waiting for a camera.
JBA Posted August 19, 2009 Share #1179 Posted August 19, 2009 Parting with those lovely black chrome MPs couldn't have been easy. With the purchase of these two new MP bodies, I'm also going to be consolidating my gear and parting with a great deal of it. It's so much easier to acquire than to divest.
