sparkie Posted May 19, 2009 Share #1101 Posted May 19, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) If I had to go a one camera, one lens setup (for colour esp), this would be the lens. Versatile, fast, light, easy to use (with its unique dual focusing design) and has non of the drawbacks of the earlier 35' lux's

wizard Posted May 22, 2009 Share #1103 Posted May 22, 2009 Very nice, BUT the Voigtlaender accessory shoe meter should be chrome and mounted on your M2, as the CL has an inbuilt meter . Andy

RITskellar Posted June 7, 2009 Share #1109 Posted June 7, 2009 Andy - Are you selling off all of your MPs? Will you still have some Ms or another MP on the way? All but one. Sadly, I'm selling my two identical black chrome MPs.

SteveYork Posted June 7, 2009 Share #1111 Posted June 7, 2009 I sold my backup MP, which I never used and only sat on the shelf, and now I regret it. Funny though, the week after I sold it, the M I used since 2003 jammed. First problem ever with this camera. It unjammed by itself, but maybe it's time to have it cleaned. abrewer Posted June 7, 2009 Author Share #1112 Posted June 7, 2009 Steve, did it jam with advancing? I've had that happen from misloading the film. If the canister is not completely seated the film advances on a slant until it binds. You're advancing just fine then WHAM! it's stuck tight as concrete. Just open the bottom and unload the whole mess (lose the pics, of course, but this usually happens early on).
JBA Posted June 8, 2009 Share #1113 Posted June 8, 2009 A friend of mine had his MP shutter jam half closed and had to get it repaired. Rare, but these things do happen from time to time. Knock on wood.
NB23 Posted June 8, 2009 Share #1114 Posted June 8, 2009 My M7 once jammed solidly. I opened it and luckily I saw a piece of film caught between the curtain the the inside of the body. I understood I have to cut my bulk film more carefuly or the film chips will ruin my cameras.
rob_x2004 Posted June 8, 2009 Share #1115 Posted June 8, 2009 I have an MP repaired and CLAd by Solms after they screwed up a repair and it now hooks up somewhere internally if I dont wind on tight enough. Its like an edge that used not to be there.
SteveYork Posted June 8, 2009 Share #1116 Posted June 8, 2009 Steve, did it jam with advancing? I've had that happen from misloading the film. If the canister is not completely seated the film advances on a slant until it binds. You're advancing just fine then WHAM! it's stuck tight as concrete. Just open the bottom and unload the whole mess (lose the pics, of course, but this usually happens early on). Yes, that's exactly what happened. I loaded a roll of film very quickly to capture something, but I ended up catching nothing, because of the temporary jam.
SteveYork Posted June 8, 2009 Share #1117 Posted June 8, 2009 Steve, did it jam with advancing? I've had that happen from misloading the film. If the canister is not completely seated the film advances on a slant until it binds. You're advancing just fine then WHAM! it's stuck tight as concrete. Just open the bottom and unload the whole mess (lose the pics, of course, but this usually happens early on). Come to think of it, that's how I unjammed it -- rewound the film and opened up the back. The mystery is solved. In almost sic years of use, that's the the first problem with the camera. But not I see it was 'human error.'
