Hello Everybody,

The MP in Post #3234 just above is shown at approximately 2/3 life size in terms of the breakfast it is accompanying.

Best Regards,

Michael

Hehe ;-)

Actually not - ask people who know me. I am big guy and a good eater. In order to carry that heavy brass all day long I need to have my Nutella bread BIG ;-)

Really, it's just perspective - I believe I used a 35 Summarit-S to shoot this, hence the perspective distortion.

Harold I agree

That's why I have both M7 and MP...

second reason , as I am a "purist" :D one have a color film and the second a b&w film ! :)

Congratulations for your MP,  it's really a good camera

Best

Henry

PS don't forget to post in "Other" and film "I like film" thread :)

Thanks Harold

Dirk , MP also nice in black :)

Congrats.

Two faithful companions who follow me everywhere and faithful reproduction of what I see !

Deep black and nuance of gray , beautiful white for b&w. Beautiful and gorgeous for color :)

.... and recent purchase of film

Here is a picture taken recently

After a few years of thinking about MP a la carte, finally it arrived. I love it! As well as my other Leica cameras: M-P 240 and set of other film M3, M2, IIIf and Ia.

And the top view. You may see it's all black.

Looks nice! Is the covering what Leica offers if you choose vulkanit? It looks similar to the covering on the M-A. I think the vulkanit offered in prior years had a more pronounced texture and shininess.

Nice 35mm black chrome too ...

Nice strap from Cub & Co!

It is Aki Asahi 4008. I really prefer the 4034 style, but they don't offer it anymore.

Can you share the source of the leather covering on your MP? I'm looking for something like that for my M6.

That is a real pity - I myself think that the most beautiful leatherette on a Leica M is the very coarse/ bubbly Leica M8.2 leatherette which the Aki Asahi 4034 closely resembled.

4008 is not a bad compromise though.

I'm afraid I don't love my MP as much as my M-A (just prefer the greater simplicity of the latter) BUT it is still a handsome camera. The lustrous piano black of an MP beats the rather pedestrian finish of the black "paint" M digitals (apart from the M8.2 which was rather nice). :D
