Because I had some time of, I have put almost all pictures of the MP's on this thread on a slideshow. I hope you'll appreciate the gesture. If somebody has problems with this, because of the copyright, please tell me. I will delete the picture.

I have removed the link and removed the photo's from the site. Wasn't a good Idea after all for some.

Hi, I don't know yet, so I'll let you know later, do I mind or not. What I recognized is, that a few pictures are double.

Is there a link to the original capture, or at least some credit for the photographer?

received my MP about 1 week ago, number 46660xx. using the battery came in the camera box, the exposure meter isn't working... so sad

Congratulations on your new MP! Can I ask how long it took to arrive? Mine arrived in December after a 5 month wait. .......

You have included photos of mine taken from the thread without my permission and are offering them for sale. Yes I have a problem with that. Please remove my photos immediately.

Pete.

Sorry Pete,

I forgot to remove the " print " button in Smugmug. I have done that now. I will delete your photo, but could you please help me to find it?

Thanks Paulus, I'm wondering, you as photographer, would you appreciate this kind of "promotion"?

You are right , I wasn't thinking. There must be a saying somewhere that goes like: " I seemed a good idea at the time..."

The link has been removed, but the slidehsow is still online! I´m happy to have found one of my pictures included, so you don´t mind to pay my invoice

I´ve also found some friends shots who will have no problem to follow my idea!

Wow. As if the thread wasn't bordering on being pretentious enough already. People actually care about what someone does with a picture of their camera? Didn't realize we were looking at art here. I always thought the thread was about sharing the MP love.

message to follii, about your meter not working on your new Mp, I also received a new one a week ago and meter did not work, then checked my other Mp, and my new camera had the sticker that shows you which way battery goes in and it was up side down.

As soon as i put battery in like my old Mp it worked fine.

And i also noticed if battery is put in like sticker shows, it will not make contact with metal, my first clue.

So install battey the other way.

It probably has been mentioned before and follii likely knows this, but often enough after having used mostly digital Ms for a while and picking up a M6 or MP again this little detail can be over looked:

The M6 classic and MP light meter only works, if the advance lever is charged and the shutter speed dial is NOT on "B".

If either of these two is negative, the LEDs in the viewfinder simply remain off, as if no battery is inserted.

This isn't just a question of copyright, it's also a question of respect. Let me tell you why:

Some people don't even want their photos being "finetuned" and reposted by other forum members within the forum without being asked before. So why should it be ok posting and "possibly" even sell them on a commercial webpage without copyright owners permission?

The posters wanted to share their photos with other forum members, nothing else and that we have to respect. Announcing an invoice was my (in this case more or less ironic) way of pointing out the issue.

p.s. I experienced finding some of my professional photographs in commercial archives without being asked or getting money, photo press agencies even offered me my own pictures for hundreds of euro (for a very slim use), so I could see what their possible income was over the years. Not funny!

The pictures are still online!

I would like to ask Paulus for the last time to get the pictures off of his site! I'm getting a bit frustrated about it.

I send you a mail, if my pictures are not removed by the end of the day, you will receive an invoice. How do you think about violation of the authors rights?

I got the mail from Paul, that the pictures are removed. Unfortunately when I'm copying the link in a browser, which I never used to visit his page, I still see the pictures.

Am I right, that the pictures are still there, open for a public?

I visited the link yesterday evening and a few minutes ago with the same browser. I can not see those pictures any more. However, it's still possible that the site uses several servers or proxies so that any changes take their time to propagate to all parts of the web.
