rob139 Posted November 24, 2010 Share #1882 Posted November 24, 2010 Just bringing the MP back down to earth, it was about to reach stellar, almost holy hights. But it's just a tool, people. In this case an incomplete, flashed, upside down tool.

In this case an incomplete, flashed, upside down tool. You could have bought a less expensive tool but, you didn't:p I could have too but. I like the way it feels and looks on top of it's operation. It's not just a tool;) for me or anybody that has posted theirs or is currently browsing pictures of these beautiful MP's.

myshkine Posted December 3, 2010 Share #1891 Posted December 3, 2010 Going through this thread I started to compare the beautiful MP's to my lovely M6TTL. Started dreaming also. Went to the Leica site, found the "a' la carte" menu and created my own MP. Fantastic. But pricey... But hey, maybe soon I'll post a pic of my own MP. Guest dk_samurai Posted December 4, 2010 Share #1892 Posted December 4, 2010 Not my MP, but bumped into a site selling an a lá carte MP. Or is it a limited edition, since it says "00/20" on the hot shoe? Something to do with Berlin? Cool camera, regardless. The site can be found here: WTSell: Rangefinder - Leica WTS : BLACK LEICA MP A LA CARTE BRAND NEW IN BOX ! menos I M6 Posted December 4, 2010 Share #1893 Posted December 4, 2010 Going through this thread I started to compare the beautiful MP's to my lovely M6TTL. Started dreaming also. Went to the Leica site, found the "a' la carte" menu and created my own MP. Fantastic. But pricey... But hey, maybe soon I'll post a pic of my own MP. You better hurry, as Leica announced a price correction of +400 USD for either M7 and MP! I can guarantee for myself, that once, the price increase is in effect, all second hand asking prices from the dealers jump by the same amount ;-( A pity, they were already at as low prices as 1.800 EUR once
lincoln_m Posted December 4, 2010 Share #1894 Posted December 4, 2010 David, That MP a la carte is odd. You can't get the angled rewind on anything but the M7 now, in UK anyway. Perhaps it was an option for the early ALC? Lincoln

Perhaps it was an option for the early ALC? Lincoln Lincoln, It's available as an a la carte option; I was drooling over it just last week but my BP MP spoke to me sternly so it'll stay at Solms. chris_livsey Posted December 5, 2010 Share #1897 Posted December 5, 2010 Is it not the straight rewind that is not available on the M7 but the MP can have either ?
Guest dk_samurai Posted December 5, 2010 Share #1898 Posted December 5, 2010 Is it not the straight rewind that is not available on the M7 but the MP can have either ? Correct. Though I find this a bit odd, as there was a special edition of the M6 TTL that had a rewind knob, rather than the angled knob. I believe the M6 TTL and M7 are of the same height, so you cannot say it isn't possible on the M7 due to the height. Best, David
chris_livsey Posted December 5, 2010 Share #1899 Posted December 5, 2010 Yes the 200 edition Millennium, I had forgotten about that. It does have the straight rewind a good point. Leica M6 TTL Mellenium
