I use a polarizer instead of UV, because in many cases it helps increasing the contrast. If you mount the hood against sun and sidelight you can mount the Leica metal cap on top. The soft release button is a good idea! Thanks!! I actually bought the Q used.... and the guy I bought it from was super anal about condition (which I really like ).
