dancook Posted November 24, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 24, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I ordered a Leica SL and a 90-280mm lens on Tuesday afternoon, both got dispatched from the different retailers on Wednesday for Delivery today... The lens arrived Later I got a call about the body to say the courier had mixed my parcel up with another, and it's been sent to Hereford. I had a box of pamphlets arrive in it's stead.. I'm told they will have it collected and delivered by the end of tomorrow, I have an event to shoot at 6pm tomorrow.. this sucks

jip Posted November 24, 2016 Share #2 Posted November 24, 2016 That sucks man, bad luck! But isn't it a bit bad to plan work while you won't be 100% sure you'll have a camera?

I have a Nikon D750 and a Leica Q - but it would have been nicer to start using the Leica SL.

Tempted though you might be, shooting an event with a brand new camera is possibly not a good idea unless you're just doing it for your own amusement and no one's depending on you. Nevertheless, that sort of decision should be up to you, not the courier. I hope it arrives safely in time for you to charge the battery and arrange the settings. Had it arrived today, like it was meant to, I would have been straight out into Guildford high street taking photos of late night shoppers - giving the ISO, AF and controls a good workout. I will still take my D750 anyway, in case there's also two of us covering the event
