How much of a market would there be for a silver chrome M-D?

I'm really enjoying the back to basics experience of the M-D, but wish it would be available in silver chrome finish like the older M's. How many others would be interested in that configuration and also in a possible a-la-carte upgrade option.

Splitting hairs.

Oh, I don't know about that ...

Actually, my M3, M-A and Monochrom are all silver chrome and the M60 is very different.  I don't know how much of it is the design, and how much the materials.  I believe only the top deck and baseplate are stainless, the chassis is machined aluminium like any other M camera, with more plastic than feels right in such an expensive camera. But the rest of the body is actually a different size to the normal M(240), I think.  I don't have one for comparison, but I posted a picture on the M10 thread, showing that the lens mount is almost flush with the leather finish.  This suggests to me that as there is no LCD, the sensor and mount is further back into the camera than a normal M(240).

Anyway, no.  The stainless camera and more particularly 35 Summilux are very different from the "normal" silver chrome versions, in just about every respect.  I'm not sure why Leica didn't give it a polished stainless steel look (much like the silver chrome finish) or mirror finish (too much bling?), but the finish on the stainless steel is very different from silver chrome.

All the recent Ms....M240, M246, M262, etc....have magnesium alloy bodies.  The M262 differs in its aluminum alloy top plate, compared to brass for the others.

The M-D 262 is brass top plate. Different than the M 262, also in the finish of the black as far as I have seen.
