dritz Posted October 28, 2016 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) After months of waiting my 45-S finally arrived. I had hoped that it's bokeh would be painterly like the 100-S, and less like the 35-S. In my secret thoughts I hoped it would render like the 35-M ASPH (pre FLE). The 45/100 will make a perfect two lens kit for my documentary work. Ok. Some shots at f2.8. I assure you the sharpness is end-to-end in the focus plane. So much fun it should be illegal! From Rainy Seattle.... USA It should be more like the 35 as it is the same optical concept. Very sharp but with a littlebit fuzzy bokeh. The S100 has a very different optical formula (not surprisingly near the Summilux R 80) so smoother bokeh.

tom0511 Posted October 28, 2016 Share #4 Posted October 28, 2016 The 45 as far as I know has one more element than the 35. the 45 100 combo are my 2 favorite S lenses. The only thing I dislike about the 45 is weight/size
Deliberate1 Posted October 28, 2016 Share #5 Posted October 28, 2016 Well done. The first image is a splendid representation of shallow DOF in MF, and more importantly, how it can be a powerful compositional tool. David
BigBabyEarl Posted October 28, 2016 Share #6 Posted October 28, 2016 I was drawn to this system because of the 45 and 100. Got the 100 and I love it. Now the 45 is next. Would love to see more images of people, portraits. I think close up the lens will shine.

I mean, take their photographs. I will post some close ups, too. It's terribly lovely.
