FlashGordonPhotography Posted October 28, 2016 Share #4 Â Posted October 28, 2016 Are these TTL triggers you're using as manual triggers? Canon mount perhaps? There was a photographer (it's in many many threads about FW 2.0) who was having problems with a Canon type trigger on the SL (ProPhoto I believe). It just wouldn't fire after updating to fw 2.0. Nothing worked in settings. I think the only way out was to get hold of a non TTL flash trigger to fire the external strobes. For some reason, it looked like the camera didn't like the pin connections and was shutting down the hotshoe. It seemed it was the Canon type layout that was the issue. Some with Nikon type shoes (which match the pins, but not protocols) didn't seem to have issues. I don't have any with TTL shoes so I can't give a personal opinion. Â I use either Godox or Elinchrom triggers (single pin - non TTL) nearly every day on my SL. They're super reliable and a joy to use on the SL system. DO you have access to try a single pin trigger with your flashes? My local dealer would let me try a different trigger in store. Maybe yours will as well.
