Interesting to know reason. Leica do not suggest anywhere this is the case with older lenses as far as I know. LV works and so does magnification. You just need the right adapter - ie, in the case of this particular lens, one that both covers the 6-bit sensor AND allows the infinity lock to be released without being blocked by the adapter edge. I use a Rayqual one, but there are (few) others. Edited January 25, 2020 by Ecar
Guest Nowhereman Posted January 25, 2020 Share #1424 Posted January 25, 2020 And the last is a film shot, which renders the colors much better. I tried this shot just after the one below with this lens on the M10 and couldn't get anywhere near these colors: people spoke of "better color depth"... airV Posted January 26, 2020 Share #1427 Posted January 26, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello Thanks to pedaes, mnutzer and Verteidiger for your answers which will help me to choose between the original and the new one. I don't have experience between originals vs reissues in optics, but I do have experience in furniture and vinyl records. I have a great preference for originals. But a lens it's different. The only experience I have in antique lenses is the summilux 75mm. I bought it in excellent condition in a shop (unfortunately it's stolen today). But it was a much more recent lens. Next week I should be able to try an original summaron and my dealer will receive a new summaron very soon. I will try it as well. herve.

I don't have a film camera for the M-lenses anymore. I had a Zeiss Ikon and it was stolen. I'm thinking of buying one, but I don't know yet if I'll take a modern M (new M-A or a pre-loved M7) or an old screw mount camera . This point can count in my choice for the summaron and I'll have to decide what I'll do soon enough

ejk64 Posted February 6, 2020 Share #1434 Posted February 6, 2020 the funfair and ... marilyn and the metro gate of new york .. The scene was filmed at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and East 52nd Street. . The biggest disappointment is that there is no commemorative or other plaque on the metro grid to inform the passerby that one of the most famous scenes in the history of cinema is tour here, poor Marilyn Monroe !!! with my summaron-m28/5.6 , I will be in New York next week for Valentine's Day : snow maybe ??? ejk64 Posted February 8, 2020 Share #1436 Posted February 8, 2020 hello , in 2019 a large exhibition of contemporary art opened there in public space, entitled " Les Extatiques ". This year's theme seems all right, since it is about air. The chosen artists thus play, in a monumental way, with incongruous, dreamy and funny images. at the exit of the Esplanade de la Défense station, with the Japanese Fujiko Nakaya : the artist settles on the waters of the Takis basin to deploy a gigantic cloud of water vapor which stagnates and flies in the wind.
