Working out every morning my friend Doug can be found sitting at McDonald's doing his crossword puzzles. He thinks it helps prevents Alzheimer's. Knowing him I can assure you he hasn't  lost anything lately.  :)

Anything that keeps the cognitive skills firing helps, although Alzheimer's is different from dementia. I have also read that socialization is also critically important. We were not meant to live alone.

Thanks Steve  staying in touch using your talking skills certainly helps  that's for sure . Matic your picture of your mother  is of a  woman with shows here strong character and thinking she is 30  is nothing wrong with that.. Most women lie when it comes to age anyway :)

Thanks to all of you who liked the picture! About Alzheimer dementia: I'm MD by profession - although not physiatrics - and here I only used description done by her therapist! Of course there is more, having Alzheimer, than just believe you are 30... However, in the case of my mum, this is prevailing symptom, and what I wonder is, if this is really so devastating? I've never found her depressed or sad, she is always very "busy"… actually, she really is 30!  :)
