Advertisement Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Hi Leicaiste, Take a look here New Leica cameras to be announced on September 30, 2016 ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted September 23, 2016 Share #2 Posted September 23, 2016 It would be slightly weird that the announcement would be ten days after Photokina. But, maybe Leica wants the stage to themselves, the Asian market is an important one, so who knows? And there is still a design preview to be had. cirke Posted September 24, 2016 Share #3 Posted September 24, 2016 it will not be a M

CYBORA Posted September 24, 2016 Share #5 Posted September 24, 2016 I think it will be the T2. The first version is discontinued now. It says " new cameras " , so additional ones may be a new X , who knows.
adli Posted September 24, 2016 Share #6 Posted September 24, 2016 It says cameras, indicating more than one.
Exodies Posted September 24, 2016 Share #7 Posted September 24, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) It says cameras, indicating more than one. So it won't be another million € unique item.
ohwahahaha Posted September 27, 2016 Share #8 Posted September 27, 2016 I guess New M(M11) will be announced at 11 November. LOL
colonel Posted September 27, 2016 Share #9 Posted September 27, 2016 It would be slightly weird that the announcement would be ten days after Photokina. But, maybe Leica wants the stage to themselves, the Asian market is an important one, so who knows? And there is still a design preview to be had. I think it would be logical as it would make it more newsworthy then getting lost in the Photokina morass On the other hand Leica doesn't have enough lens mounts, so I want hoping for another one. I was betting its going to be called the W mount and will be plastic, water cooled with a suspended gelpac for good light transmission and will use an aneutrino stream via satellite to communicate with the lens
albertknappmd Posted September 27, 2016 Share #10 Posted September 27, 2016 Probably the new iteration of the Leica T.. Albert

epand56 Posted September 30, 2016 Share #15 Posted September 30, 2016 After that ridiculous Polaroid-like new Leica, looking like a toy camera found in a chocolate box, I'm ready to see any kind of gadget from Leica. Something tells me that the M 240 will be my last Leica M and will come with me when i leave this Vale of Tears
Belle123 Posted September 30, 2016 Share #16 Posted September 30, 2016 So, nothing new of significance? Not even new T? Hmmmmm
edwardkaraa Posted September 30, 2016 Share #17 Posted September 30, 2016 I don't think they would announce a new camera from Singapore.
Exodies Posted September 30, 2016 Share #18 Posted September 30, 2016 Now that every shred of hope is dead and gone perhaps we should fix our gaze on 25 years of digital M
Mr10Percent Posted September 30, 2016 Share #19 Posted September 30, 2016 Well I would doubt that they would waste marketing opportunity by announcing a new version the M and the T(L) together. Makes little sense in my book cashflow-wise for them to do that?
sdk Posted September 30, 2016 Share #20 Posted September 30, 2016 Probably some Singapore or Asia specific special editions of existing Leica cameras. Hmm.
