stuny Posted June 12, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted June 12, 2007 Lex - Â Excellent angles, light, depth, and details. The symmetry in #1 works well because of the angle downwards. The second almost seems to show the statues greeting the crowd below, and is amusing in that regard.
boilerdoc Posted June 13, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted June 13, 2007 How in the world did you get to those vantage points? I'll be in Rome 7/3 and am headed for St Peters'. Steve
sandro Posted June 13, 2007 Author Share #5 Â Posted June 13, 2007 Thanks for your appreciation. When you take the elevator to the top of the cupola of St. Peter's, you will leave the elevator at the level where I took these pictures. You can walk around there and enjoy the building itself. Have fun!
stuny Posted June 15, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted June 15, 2007 Stephen - Â Be sure to arrive before they open the doors (I think 7:30), and go in and to the right to see the Pieta without anybody blocking your view. Then see the rest, and take the elevator up, as Lex advises.
