M9 RAW images sporadically recorded to MacBook Photos app.

The camera is an M9 standard with new sensor and latest firmware. The card is a SanDisk Ultra SDHC I, 16GB. The camera is set to record DNG and JPEG fine. JPEG setting was B&W.

After my walk this morning, I loaded my SD card into the MacBook Pro and transferred photos to Photos. There were a total of 31 photos. Of the 31, approximately the first 15 images included both the JPEG and RAW files; the following 10 did not include the RAW file; and the remaining images, once again, included both JPEG and RAW. I assume there are missing RAW images because I am unable to select "Use RAW as Original" while in the Edit mode, for the middle group of photos, in the Photos program/app.

I have gone so far as to delete the photos from the Photos program, reload from the SD card.....No Joy.

Oddly enough, All RAW files do load into Lightroom 6;

I can work around this, but it is the first time I have encountered the behavior in Photos.

Has anyone out there ever experienced anything like this? Any ideas on what may have gone wrong?

Yes. I gave up on the Mac Photos program. Lightroom always got it right.
