dugby Posted August 18, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 18, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is the silver colour of the M 60 Edition body, the same colour as the silver APO 50 ? The Leica website documents: the LEICA M Edition “LEICA 60”. All visible metallic elements of the camera and lens are made of solid, elaborately machined and finished, stainless steel Has anyone coupled these two together and can share a picture showing them together please ? I have not put them side by side, but I do know that the finishes are substantially different. The M60 shell is stainless steel with a protective coating applied. It is very, very heavy, and the appearance is not really metallic (IMHO) because of the lustrous, slick coating sprayed on top of the stainless. The new generation "chrome" lenses are silver finish anodized onto the aluminum shells. The 50 APO will be very light and have a distinctly metallic appearance and feel.
