Bobitybob Posted July 29, 2016 Share #21 Posted July 29, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just for the record, tried again a few minutes ago and have been able to download both the Lightroom Plugin and Image Shuttle from the Owner's Area. Didn't do anything different so not sure what the problem was but it wouldn't work first thing this morning either!

rsmphoto Posted October 23, 2016 Share #23 Posted October 23, 2016 Need some help....Have been using the S mainly for tethered shooting with LIS 3.4, but went to the SL today and immediately had a connection issue using LIS 3.4 and MBP Retina mid 2012 with OS X 10.12 (El Capitan). Camera connection not being recognized - repeatedly. The only way I can get the camera to be recognized is to unplug and re-plug the USB cable into the laptop, usually twice, while camera and LIS are on. Once connection is made though, there is no response using the Live View Window nor the shutter release in the app. - usually a 30+ sec wait until I can use Live View and/or release the shutter. I tried reinstalling LIS 3.4 also, no luck. Any thoughts? Could it be the firmware? Thanks.
wlaidlaw Posted October 23, 2016 Share #24 Posted October 23, 2016 For weird camera issues my usual recourse of action in order is: 1) Pop the battery for a minute 2) Save your profiles to a card and then do a factory reset - try to connect tethering before reinstalling profiles to make sure an odd profile is not the cause 3) re-load the latest firmware. Could you have a cable problem? Have you another cable you could try? The odd issue I have that is vaguely similar is if I connect my SL to a wifi network and then look at its IP address with my 2012 Retina MBP on Safari, I can only see the thumbnails, whereas given a bit of time, on a selected image, the whole full size JPEG should download. I wondered if it might be a fault with the technology demonstrator version of Safari I was using before going back to 10.0.1. I have not tried it since reverting. rsmphoto Posted October 24, 2016 Share #26 Posted October 24, 2016 Well, I should have known, because I discovered this behavior with the SL when I was beta testing, and then obviously proceeded to forget (and it was the same thing when I shot with Hasselblads). The SD card was inserted in the camera. It was as simple as that. Take the card out, everything works perfectly. Thanks for your input and suggestions. Now, back to work, and I doubt I'll ever forget at this point! Richard
