Advertisement Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 Hi gverdon, Take a look here The Wall of Absurdity. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
elansprint72 Posted June 16, 2007 Share #22 Posted June 16, 2007 vic vic, This is (primarily) a photography forum. Why don't you just ship out of here? btw, my life's best friends are mainly Jewish (note: not Israeli). I'm sure that you could find a better outlet for your sectarian opinions somewhere else on the www. No offense; but you are not making a good case for whatever point(s) you are endeavouring to make. vic vic Posted June 16, 2007 Share #23 Posted June 16, 2007 david, well done.. u know how to use political dictionary. school home work. next is to analyze the situation. forgot it? where are your arguments??? decrimination between races??? sorry but where exactly do u see that. the wall is deffensive protection from terorist to cross the borders. palestians couldnot stop it themselves, so there is wall. races????? david, between two nation. and both of them want to leave for themselves - each for himself. no races here. palestians themselve concider themselve as nation rite? they want to be apart rite??? analyze at least basically if not indepth. gerald.. amazing arguments. fantastic. elansprint72: where are the arguments to support your point of view, or at least to show that my opinion is sectarian??? angain.. where is the argument that justifies you? ah, and i will tell you one thing... no offense but listen to this: when somebody says that he has many jewish friends but not israelis, that may say, i repeat - MAY POSSIBLY SAY, that he/she is a new and modern version of anti-zionizm which is a modern version of old and dark ages anti-cemitizm. the main differance is that one justifies the hate of jewish people on the bases of religion (the old version) while the new version is based on nationalistic premisis. interestingly, all this processes of theoretical and idiological reconfiguration happened at the same time of course, when religion lost its primery powrer in most of european countries and national and socio-economic idiologies replaced it. ) now, where are your arguments anyway? my point is very simple... no super theories, and super idiologies, and endless hostoric debates... PRACTICALLY, POLITICAL BUSNESS-WISE... what happens nowadays? one thing is clear once again..... many people on this forum cannot really keep a conversation with argumentations. those people need cute and kitschy words and statements and comfortable ideas to those that they are already stacked to. gverdon Posted June 16, 2007 Share #24 Posted June 16, 2007 Sorry Vic, but do you REALLY think that this debate, if any debate possible in this case, could seriously be made in this photo forum? Come in my place and I swear you'll have arguments, maybe more than you can afford... But for now, we're in a photo forum and we're not supposed to share the same opinions about everything, so maybe it would be wiser not to kick up discussions in a such thoughtless manner... My 2 cents. Gérald
vic vic Posted June 16, 2007 Share #25 Posted June 16, 2007 hahah gerald no worries, i can afford ) i have not even started a warm-up in case of need ) but maybe true - im not sure that wilfredo wanted a political debate on his post, although i think he should have concidered this option too when he posted such a series and text that were posted afterwods. anyway, if wilfredo wants to stop this discusion - we should stop it - defenetly debate - ya, it can be made, not eassy one, but it can be made. is it the place? the content of the photograph is the debate, isnt it? )
gverdon Posted June 17, 2007 Share #26 Posted June 17, 2007 A good idea, perhaps?, would be to debate with photographs... But I'm not sure it would be very different... Gérald
MrEd Posted June 17, 2007 Share #27 Posted June 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey Victor, Sounds to me some members of this Forum would like to see the Jews pack up their little suitcases and board the train once again..........this time the final ....destination would be the Mediterranean Sea...... ...what a shame....... wilfredo Posted June 17, 2007 Author Share #29 Posted June 17, 2007 This thread is taking an emotional tone. My thanks to those who see the value in it. One of the things I realized on my trip to Israel - Palestine is that arguments abound on both sides, and they are endless. Here's a picture I find hopeful. These children with toy water guns are not training to join Hamas. The taller boy is being treated in a Clinic in Barta in the Wesbank with the help of Israeli Jews who have done a great job getting medical equipment to this impoverished location. These are the types of actions that build trust, and change the reality of the landscape, and eliminate the need for walls in the long term: basic humanity. I won't add anything further to this thread, I thank you all for taking interest. Shalom/Salaam, Wilfredo Benitez-Rivera Photography Welcome, dear visitor!
