Advertisement Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Hi sharookh, Take a look here Two Brothers……... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ralphh Posted July 4, 2016 Share #2 Posted July 4, 2016 I love the image, great composition - the relationship of the two crosses is great, and I especially like that you half-mast flag in the top left - would have been easy to overlook (I probably would have done as I didn't spot it straight away when looking at the image!). One thing that bothers me a tiny bit is that distant cross on the right being inside the fairly heavy vignette - the vignette placement suggests (to me at least) that the second cross is not an important subject as where of course it is. I would consider either recentering the vignette between the two, or reducing it's strength on the right. I feel kinda bad having an opinion because I know I would not have walked away from this location with such a strong image, but there you have it

sharookh Posted July 4, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted July 4, 2016 Ralph - many thanks for your objectivity. I may have been a bit heavy handed on the right, as you say. Perhaps overdid the somber mood I wanted to project. Shall try and redress....! Stuart - yes. Last week when I visited DC. Wonderful, place. So much respect given to those who had fallen and in such an elegant and humane manner. I doubt there's any place like it in the world....
