A really excellent photograph, with an interesting subject and setting, good timing, and strong composition.

 

I have to say, though, that the processing and hyper-digital look robs the photo of its appeal for me. I know it's a matter of preference, but I feel a more natural treatment would better suit this subject. Maybe I've just been looking at too much B&W film photography lately.

I dint have my M9 on that trip  :(  the files from Sony lets say are too perfect and Digital.

Yes, modern lenses are cruel.

 

I don't mind the image left or right.  The cloud and the fishing line are a nice brightness...I'd just dodge the face 1/2 or 1 stop brighter.  Being human we are drawn to faces...but the cloud is so important too.

 

really a beaut picture, and one good for debate.

Well he was working and focusing his attention on what he was doing.......

 

Is not a model.

 

You're absolutely right, never thought to change his position, but to the possibility of lighting his face a little bit by post-processing.
