Echo63 Posted June 10, 2016 Share #1  Posted June 10, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently bought a Yongnuo ring flash to go with my Canon kit (on axis fill for portraits) but have been playing with it on my M240, using a diy extension tube, live view and my 50 summarit. its not really macro, but the extension tube gets a lot closer than without it - maybe 1:3 magnification ratio (i really should measure it)  comments and criticism welcome  Welcome, dear visitor! Echo63 Posted June 16, 2016 Author Share #4 Â Posted June 16, 2016 thank you all for the comments and thanks. Â Â i measured the field of view at MFD the other day - the 50 Summarit on the extension tube gets me 2:1 (half life size) and my Olympus 28mm on an adapter and the extension tube, gets 1:1 (life size, something 5mm across in real life takes up 5mm of sensor) i really need to give some of my other olympus lenses a whirl. HeinzX Posted June 16, 2016 Share #5  Posted June 16, 2016 Nice images, I like esp. #2.  Another possiblity at  low costs and weight ist to use  an achromate lens i.e. a Marumi magnification lens with 5 diop - together with a step up ring on your Summarit.  A  Leica R Macro lens -i.e. the 60 mm together with adapter and the extension tube is another very comfortable and good possibility - lens only achieves half natural size, together with the extension 1:1 size with very hig quality.  It is possible too, to combine this lens and the extension tube with a Leica extender  ( I use the APO extender for it) - in this case a magnification rate of double natural size is possible.
