35 AA

There is a difference in rendering but no, it's performance will not blow your monitor away.

My honest advice to the photographer in you would be to keep your existing kit and spend the money on a nice vacation to take some good pictures and make some nice memories.

My equally honest advice to the collector in you would be to keep your existing kit and get this lens on top.

Hi,

i had the 35AA and unfortunatly had to sell it to finance a trip to Algeria. It is indeed the most beautiful lens Leica has ever made. I used it with my Leica M7 and Leica M6 for B&W

photography  With the new Leica Monochrom the lens must even more be a gem. I am now trying to get a copy again for a decent price.

Thus it can not be 6-bit coded because there is a screw in its way.

Best Regards from Germany,

Moritz

The good thing about the AA was in selling it for a journey to Algeria, you have enough left over for a kidnap ransom too.

Very strategic of you, Moritz.

I bought one at a good price a few years back, thought I'd sell on as I had the 35 ASPH. Which I prefer to the FLE but it's the last lens if sell its superb

The colouring and combination of sharpness and broken (which has a sense of movement akin to the Nocyilux f1) is wonderful.

Worth it ? ofcourse not at collector prices but better than any other 35, oh yes very much so IMO
