I got back from holiday, and gutted with one of the rolls that I had, the other 2 rolls are fine, but the one that I look for (velvia) is basically utter garbage.

I got it from a seller on eBay based on Thailand, never again, I will request my money back from the seller, but just want to confirm first before I get ratty

First one is Ektar which is fine, second one suppose to be Velvia which is green neon

Can airport scan affect the colours, or would that be more of a film problem?  It is very disappointing but anyway...

If you have bought the film from an eBay seller in Thailand, then I am not surprised that you're having problems with it.

You our have no idea how it has been kept before you got it. You have no idea what treatment it had on its way to you. Airport x-Ray scanners won't affect Velvia in hand luggage but might if it's been in the hold. Which is where it will have been while being shipped to you.

I would just write this off to experience and buy film from a UK retailer with fresh stock in future if I were you.

Even checked-baggage scanners won't change the color rendition - you're more likely to get a sine wave painted onto your film. The second picture looks more like color negative film re-spooled into a color transparency cassette, or film from a shipment that was left steaming on a Bangkok pier for a few years.

.... if it could be useful for you traveler  :)

I often go in SE Asia for humanitarian mission and I shoot film.

I put all my film rolls inside these bags and in cabin luggage
