Jager Posted June 4, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 4, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Based on the numerous positive comments - and many wonderful images - posted here,I picked up a CV15 a couple weeks ago. A quick (probably stupid) question: when I mount it on my M8 the lens does not line up exactly, perfectly square - it's rotated counter-clockwise (when looking at the camera) a millimeter or two. It occurs to me that the additional thickness of the screwmount-to-M adapter is probably causing this, and were this a screwmount camera the lens would naturally rotate around that extra little bit. The effect is the same both on the Voigtlander adapter which came with the lens and the Milich adapter which I ordered separately. 'tis normal? TIA. carstenw Posted June 4, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 4, 2007 Mine has this too. There was a discussion in another thread, where someone pointed out that one can remove the mount from the CV15 and underneath the washer inside, there are three sets of screwholes. Mine was closest to the set which it was initially using, but still off a bit, so it didn't help me.

jaapv Posted June 4, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 4, 2007 If one uses older screw-mount Leica lenses the alignment is all over the place. As long as it focusses correctly, just ignore. CV lenses, although more exact, also are not always dead center.
