Brenton C Posted March 30, 2016 Share #5 Posted March 30, 2016 You caught a crime in progress--the prominent signage of her street business is not in French--a violation of the language laws, as I understand it. ;-) Seriously, though, that's a lovely picture! What a smile!
Michael Hiles Posted March 31, 2016 Share #6 Posted March 31, 2016 L'office de la langue française would ignore her. The only signage I see is the marking on the accordion (am I missing something here?). Her advertising seems to be a seductive smile. Anyway L'office seem to act only on complaints, which are infrequent. However, there may be a laws against accordions - I've heard rumours. Or maybe it was about accordionists who play polkas at weddings.
Brenton C Posted April 4, 2016 Share #7 Posted April 4, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Clearly, the lovely lady is French, but she definitely smiles in English! ;-) Edit: But I was having a bit of fun with the English "signage" on her accordion. Michael Hiles Posted April 4, 2016 Share #8 Posted April 4, 2016 Personally, I like accordions. There are however, jokes. Someone once asked about the difference between an onion and an accordion.... No one cries when you chop up an accordion. Not a joke for polite company (I can hear the taste police at the door).
coupdefoudre Posted April 18, 2016 Share #9 Posted April 18, 2016 Have to say, I love accordions (and, sometimes, accordion players!) Oh... and all the accordion variants like the bandeon, concertina, organetto... well, you get the point. And, lovely photo by the by.
