stuny Posted March 26, 2016 Share #2 Posted March 26, 2016 Terrific. they are exceptionally adaptable acrobats. If you could extend the cantilever so the feeder hangs further from the vertical post....
fotografr Posted March 26, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted March 26, 2016 Actually, I don't really mind feeding the squirrels along with the birds. I like them all.
Northwest Wanderer Posted March 26, 2016 Share #4 Posted March 26, 2016 Nice image Brent. That squirrel is determined to have some feed.
platypus Posted March 26, 2016 Share #5 Posted March 26, 2016 This is a really great shot, the poor little thing looks quite desperate...you did give him something to eat just for himself after taking the photo, didn't you?
fotografr Posted March 27, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted March 27, 2016 Thanks,Dee. What the photo doesn't show is the big pile of seed on the ground under the bird feeder. My squirrels are quite well fed. I also put extra peanuts out for them during the cold winter months. I enjoy them as much as the birds.

platypus Posted March 27, 2016 Share #8 Posted March 27, 2016 Thanks,Dee. What the photo doesn't show is the big pile of seed on the ground under the bird feeder. My squirrels are quite well fed. I also put extra peanuts out for them during the cold winter months. I enjoy them as much as the birds. That is great to hear! We (humans) are responsible for shifting the balance of nature by creating built-up areas and turning birds and small wildlife into cadgers and beggars, we must owe them some compensation and support. With this in mind I feed a sizeable group throughout the year: five Kookaburras, four Magpies, a very large mob of quarrelsome Currawongs, a Thrush or two and several Blue Tongue Lizards, it has become quite expensive as they all prefer minced beef. .....and then there's the Brush Tailed Possum family who are under the impression that my roof cavity is a hollow tree.........
