Yes, but ...  There is something about knowing that the camera in your hand (film or digital) can only produce monochrome images that creates a degree of concentration on the possibilities of the image that is different (subtly perhaps) from taking a picture in colour and deciding later whether it works better in monochrome.

My camera never set on colour! Only in Mono. So it's easy. I seldom desaturate colour!...

Yes, but the M8,9 &10 etc. can easily be switched to Monochrome such that the LCD also shows monochrome. So they can be made into real Monochrome.

The thing (apart from cost!) that has kept me from buying a Monochrome is that all my M cameras (Film & Digital) can work as Momochromes. I yet need convincing that my current stock cannot match true Monochromes for (say) 90% of my shooting.
