Thank you very much, very kind.

The willow is indeed just a bit lighter in the original photo than the background. But, to be honest, I faked the reality slightly in the post processing. I created a mask around the light coloured wood of the willow and lifted the highlights and shadows minimal. I then applied a little bit more contrast and sharpness to the same mask. I turned the photo in b/w with the little help of the film simulation Agfa APX 25, resized it to LUF format. All in all about 15 minutes work. The photo belongs to the Village Life series.
