Very nice picture, thanks

What's you iso setup? looks beautiful

Thanks a lot. I always shoot my M8.2 at ISO160 and push development in pp when needed (in this case +1EV). That´s the way to get the best results in my opinion. But someone else might as always have a different (...better) technique :)

i thought you was higher in iso, the last picture has a very nice "texture", how many stops in your experience can you push in PP without distroying the picture?

Thanks for your time

That depends but imo if eg the calculated iso on the M8 would have been 1250, I personally still prefer to shoot at 160 and push it later on. That gives me the opportunity to prevent certain areas from high iso banding by excluding them from the push process.

Some grain was added to this one btw :)

M8 · Summilux 50 asph @ f/5.6 · Lilia · Gjöf

Just to keep this thread alive and nothing special. Would probably not look much different if taken with any smartphone but I still love the M8.

My M8 is long gone, but some of my images from it still impress. Recently, a long-time friend (an artist) passed away, prompting me to go through some of the portraits I had taken of him over the years. (There's something about photographing artists. They seem to understand what a portrait is more than non-artists.)

This portrait was taken with the M8 and the 75mm Summicron in 2008. The data window shows f/4 but it looks a lot more like f/2 to me. Talk about the Leica 3D effect!
