Not able to contribute yet, but from my experience with the 28mm focal length on film and digital, I found it only works in an acceptable way when the subject is far enough away to remove distortion from the face and features. I do like it when it shows an interesting setting, yet  close enough for the subject(s) to be recognized as portraits.

I want to start a new thread. Just portraits with the Q. Normally the 28mm of the Q ist not a typical focal length to do portraits. I want to see how you are doing it. With or without crop.

These are my first issues in portrait with the Q. It was not the type of pics I was keen on taking as a almost close uo (I prefer 300mm not to be "seen" by the portraitee and a more natural effect) ,first time I have pleasure with this is with the Q.

Not truly portraiture, but the Q works well for candids, casuals and street work.
