stuny Posted February 1, 2016 Share #2 Posted February 1, 2016 Very painting-like. Very nice.
war Posted February 1, 2016 Share #3 Posted February 1, 2016 I really like the subtle graininess of the color. Beautiful. The blue gum leaves look very much like the eucalyptus here in Ecuador, must be relatives.
Iduna Posted February 1, 2016 Share #4 Posted February 1, 2016 Dee, very filigrane and I like its monochrome dainty texture.
fotografr Posted February 5, 2016 Share #5 Posted February 5, 2016 Ah, you have a new camera to paint with and are already doing beautifully with it.
platypus Posted February 5, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted February 5, 2016 Brent, thank you! The new M262 is a little winner and I'm really enjoying it, but to be fair, the "painting" part is really down to the 75 Lux....oh, and LR6.
fotografr Posted February 8, 2016 Share #7 Posted February 8, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Brent, thank you! The new M262 is a little winner and I'm really enjoying it, but to be fair, the "painting" part is really down to the 75 Lux....oh, and LR6. Don't leave yourself out of that equation. I'm glad Leica introduced the M262. All of my cameras have video capability and I have zero interest in shooting video. It's a waste of electronics for me. I've never seen anyone put the 75 lux to better use than you do. I owned one for a few years until it popped out of the partially unzipped case attached to my bike carrier and smashed on the road. I was heartbroken. I would have replaced it except that the size and weight of the lens dissuaded me.
platypus Posted February 9, 2016 Author Share #8 Posted February 9, 2016 Brent, The M262 is such a joy to use, just a little bit different from the M9 and those little differences are all improvements. I too have zero interest in video and etc, I prefer to keep things as simple as possible, the M262 does that beautifully. Regarding the 75 Lux, I really don't find it all that big/heavy, probably because I came to it after using a Nocti 0.95 for a couple of years.....that was big and heavy! The 75 Lux does everything that Nocti ever did for me "but does it dancing backwards and in heels"... as the saying goes....and it is a much more user friendly lens (IMHO). So sad that you lost your copy, I would have been completely suicidal in the circumstances!
