Schrödinger's cat Posted January 29, 2016 Share #5 Posted January 29, 2016 That's not banding, that's a dead pixel. One dead pixel kills the entire column. The repair is a software deal that requires a trip to Leica. Most likely free

Berlinman Posted February 14, 2016 Share #7 Posted February 14, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I had exactly the same and also only at 640 ISO. CA fixed if, but noboddy could tell me the reason, why it only apears at 640...
Rick Posted February 14, 2016 Share #8 Posted February 14, 2016 Why doesn't the software recognize this on the fly and correct it. Would it be that hard to write an algorithm that determines that a whole column is dead? How do other cameras deal with this? Rick p.s. Could the mods change the thread to read, "dead pixel" so future searches here and on google don't bring this page up?
Berlinman Posted February 14, 2016 Share #9 Posted February 14, 2016 There was a guy with such a software, but couldn't handle the DNGs from Leica. I send him an example-DNG but got no answer.
