gunston Posted January 25, 2016 Share #8 Posted January 25, 2016 why chosen chrome over the black body?
Peter Kilmister Posted January 25, 2016 Share #9 Posted January 25, 2016 Beginning a question with "why" is aimed at making the respondent defend their actions. Therefore, dear Gunston, let me act as an advocate for someone who has bought a beautiful piece of kit, whether you like it or not. Chrome is a harder surface than black paint. Classic look. Easier to see the detail when black or red on chrome, rather than faded white on faded black or brass. Your argument for black please.
DezFoto Posted January 26, 2016 Share #10 Posted January 26, 2016 Although I do have the chrome version, I did prefer the look of the M9's steel grey, though the current version is more "classic" in appearance. I had initially ordered the black version and after waiting two months, decided to accept the chrome version. I don't regret it though, they both look fantastic. FlashGordonPhotography Posted January 26, 2016 Share #11 Posted January 26, 2016 why chosen chrome over the black body? While I always buy black bodies i have to say the M-P in chrome is beautiful. Congrats to the OP. Gordon
fraswa Posted January 26, 2016 Author Share #12 Posted January 26, 2016 Hi, thanks for the comments, I'm really happy with my new camera About the chrome vs black...that's a funny one: My M9-P was chrome, and I bought the chrome M-P so my wife would not notice the swap I always bring my camera when we go somewhere and when I took out the new M-P she didn't notice the difference, and my box swap was perfect, indiana jones-style I told her after I brought her out for dinner in a nice place
