Haven't seen this Kickstarter mentioned on the forum - but just in case, there's still a day remaining to back the project (which is already way over target incidentally). Looks like a really neat system - almost tempted to get into 4x5 myself when I see this sort of thing...

I used a Combi Plan processing tank for years for small volume b/w. It is pretty similar in concept.

I think I have used most 4x5" processing tanks, and a careful look at the Combi Plan should show anyone how very carefully it was engineered. (Yeah, if you don't push the top down enthusiastically, it can weep. Big deal.)  I have moved to roller and drum (not JOBO) after overcoming my poor understanding of constant agitation (rather, fluid refreshing.)

Still (and to be on topic) I remain pretty darned unhappy with 35mm reel development, but I was spoiled with well maintained Versamat, long gone.

Thanks for the link, I've ordered one.

I have three daylight processing 'systems' for 4x5. A Yankee tank that takes a lot of film and uses a lot of chemicals. It works OK except I usually only want to process three or four sheets. A MOD 45 insert for a Paterson tank, which I find difficult to load and it doesn't hold the film very securely. Looking at it you'd think it was the perfect solution, but I've had more failures with this than any other system. And I currently use a converted Paterson colour print processing tray which takes four sheets, only 500ml of chemicals, and works OK, but is a bit messy to use and if you aren't careful the sheet nearest the drain hole can get surge marks. So, the challenge is on to see if this new device can improve on the daylight processing situation!

About a year ago I started 4x5, and didn't want to but a Mod54 which is rather expensive (later I gave in, but it still lets the films come off the holder if you agitate much), so I made my own two sheets at a time tank. Details here.
