earlier to-day I was driving down 59 (Merced Ca) towards Turlock Road..  Saw this plane flying low & then soaring.. Wonderful sight.. grabbed the V-Lux4 from the trunk and shot off a couple before he headed off towards the mountains.. (He was low enough to see him nod & wave) Made my day...... :)

Looking closely, although it looks like a crop duster but he was not dusting.. Just enjoying flying, how jealous i was..

I would say it is certainly a cropduster, but i couldnt tell you make/model.

 

The exhausts on the engine remind me of the PT6 exhausts on the Pilatus PC-6, PC-9 and PC12 aircraft - although i dont think it is a Pilatus.

 

As for the pictures, i like the bright airy feel, the second one shows camera shake though.

Hi, if you read my intro you will understand the images.. If you google the registration number the aircraft and it's details are easily Identified.. I agree they are lousy images..

It is an Air Tractor AT-502B, one of the most popular agricultural airplanes.
