jmourilyan Posted January 5, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 5, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all, Happy New Year. Some time after initially releasing the black chrome version of the original Monochrom Leica released a sliver chrome version. I am thinking of purchasing a new Monochrom (246). I already have a M-P (240) Black so ideally I would like to get the 246 in silver chrome (for a change). What are the chances of them doing the same with the 246? Any ideas when they would release such a variant in their cycle of product releases? Thanks Jim

earleygallery Posted January 5, 2016 Share #2 Posted January 5, 2016 Why not contact Leica directly and ask if they'd do a 'one off' for you? I know they've agreed similar requests for people in the past. Don't email them though, I don't know what happens to emails at Leica, unless you have someone's personal email you rarely get a response!
Graafber Posted January 5, 2016 Share #3 Posted January 5, 2016 Don't think so, the previous was also alone in black. They like the monochrome as stealth as possible, black, no red dot and no Leica name at the top. But asking as suggested before is free.

But often only later on in the production cycle, when the production pressure is less.
