Adam Posted January 2, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 2, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone have any thoughts on C1 version 9 and how it works with an M 240? I have V8, and I am wondering if it is worth the hassle to upgrade the Mac OS to get the newer version. Thanks!
Advertisement Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Hi Adam, Take a look here C1 new version 9 with Leica M240. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
papimuzo Posted January 2, 2016 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2016 The 8.2 version has already two Generique profiles for the 240. Do you believe that they will improve them into v.9?
Adam Posted January 2, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted January 2, 2016 The 8.2 version has already two Generique profiles for the 240. Do you believe that they will improve them into v.9? I don't know. I read there are some improvement in the program overall. Luminance curves, more masking options. But I am curious if anyone has used v9 on M240 DNG's. The color profiles could be improved from v8.2, to me they are a bit rich. But I can live with the current ones. I am more interested if there are any problems using v9 on M files. Luke_Miller Posted January 3, 2016 Share #4 Posted January 3, 2016 I use C1 v.9 with my M-240 files. No issues at all and some nice new features from v.8. I particularly like the luminance curve feature and the ability to create masks using the color selection tools. Don't know if the M-240 color profile has changed with v.9, but I still think C1 has somewhat better profiles than Lightroom CC.
Steve Ash Posted January 4, 2016 Share #5 Posted January 4, 2016 I currently use it for my M8.2. The main advantage are the improvements regarding local adjustments.
