MarkP Posted December 30, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 30, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) So we Antipodeans felt we needed an urban equivalent of the Australian Landscapes thread. Cityscapes should be interpreted broadly: cities, towns and smaller, streets, etc, in fact anything of the primarily man-made, as opposed to primarily natural Australian environment (but perhaps not 'street' photography which we can't define but know it when we see it). I don't mind changing the name of the thread if we reach consensus on an alternative. So please post colour or B&W, digital or film, new or previously posted on the forum. Mark ps. When convenient could a moderator please move the urban photographs and comments in the Australian Landscapes thread to this one. Thanks. hoppyman Posted January 2, 2016 Share #12 Posted January 2, 2016 Two from the other side of the country. Says something about distances here I guess and more about where my friends are! The one from the foreshore reminds of Hong Kong. I guess a common style for cities by the water. digger1914 Posted January 2, 2016 Share #14 Posted January 2, 2016 An oldie, with my long gone M8 and Zeiss Planar 50mm. A lovely lens that I hardly use. More's the pity! This is the clock fountain in Hornsby. Looks very natty has has really never worked, and in fact the council has now abandoned all attempts to actually make it function!! Welcome, dear visitor! hoppyman Posted January 2, 2016 Share #15 Posted January 2, 2016 One last Melbourne image (at Federation square). I had dropped my M and 50 overseas and they were in Solms over that Christmas. I had no Leica for a Melbourne visit and workshops. Leica Camera Australia saved my visit with a loan M and the fabulous Noctilux. I shot them lots over a few days but those other images don't fit this thread's theme. Welcome, dear visitor!
