“Secret”? … Really? …

I never understood why the President’s guards are called “Secret Service” since they are in public with their black uniform, and everyone can see them, talk to them, take their picture and even joke with them!

Maybe “Secret” applies to their private life!? As everyone in America (and maybe elsewhere) has heard; they had some recent issues about being drunk, crashing their car against White House walls, passing their time on porno sites on the WH computers, havimg their weapon stolen from their car; and receiving prostitutes in their hotel rooms during official trips!... I am not even mentioning all the intruders who jumped over the WH fence under their nose and reached inside the WH building! …

Frankly, for me most of the things mentioned above would be OK, as long as the average citizen can also enjoy the same life style without being harassed by the Government!; and as long as the President of the US is still safe! ;)

A terrific set. BTW: The "Service" does more than just presidential and VIP protection, such as virtually all the fight against US currency counterfeiting and fraud. The "Service" started specifically to battle rampant counterfeiting after the US Civil War. In those cases they most certainly need a secret or two.

Thank you, Stuart!

I know about everything you mentioned above. I was only talking about the WH Secret Service, referring to the kind of news we see almost every day now! ;)

I like all four, but my favourite is #2. Image #4 would be better if you had managed to include whoever he was talking to in my opinion. Oh, and I don't think this is the place for politics personally. Be thankful you are in a country where you can photograph the Secret Service without being arrested by them.
