The Summitar collapses to 18 mm according to the FAQ, making completely safe to collapse with at least 4 mm to spare. So if I purchase a clean and good condition summitar 50mm, I can safely use it on my M11 even in collapsed position , right? Thanks in advance.. jaapv Posted August 23, 2023 Share #23 Posted August 23, 2023 Well, you are not supposed to use it collapsed. The protrusion of the barrel into the sensor also depends on the shape of mouth of the camera, baffles, the diameter of the lens barrel, etc. I am not familiar with the M11 but if it follows the pattern of of other digiMs it should be OK. To make absolutely sure wrap narrow Dymo tape around the barrel.
