w44neg Posted December 20, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 20, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) A couple of weeks ago, I picked up a Monochrom, but haven't had a lot of time to try it out. It's an original MM (not 246) and as I felt like I was really missing the M9 I used to own, I wondered if it would re-capture the love I had for that wonderful camera. In a word, yes. It's a great tool. Today, we're of course spoilt with live histograms and so on, but the MM is simplicity at its best and as quirky as I expected; in a good way. I only have one photo uploaded for now... The Northern Quarter by Wayne G, on Flickr

AceVentura1986 Posted December 21, 2015 Share #2 Posted December 21, 2015 After two years w an ME, I got a classic mono for a deep discount. I really love it. The files, though a bit flat straight ooc, are so malleable and have so much data in the shadows that the images they render are fantastic. Won't give mine up. Enjoy yours. Had the Mono for about three years, and last year added the M-E. They go extremely well together.

Guest Posted January 30, 2016 Share #5 Posted January 30, 2016 I first tried the original Monocrom when it was first introduced and did not have the funds to buy one. I was offered a used one in silver Crome with less than 400 actuations recently. Every piece up to and inc the box is in as new condition so after a hagling session I brought it home. Very happy and a perfect companion to my M9. Brianp
