Pecole Posted November 30, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 30, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Going by chance through very old photographs taken in then French Algeria, I choose this shot of a lonely vane encountered not far from a desert track, and converted it in black and white. The colored original comes from a digitized slide. Which do you prefer ? Welcome, dear visitor! Michael Geschlecht Posted November 30, 2015 Share #3 Posted November 30, 2015 Hello Pierre, Both photos are equally nice. The black & white is timeless. It could be 1930's or today. The color version's colors date it to the middle 1/4 of the 20th Century. Best regards, Michael
Pecole Posted November 30, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted November 30, 2015 Well, Michael, I am old, OK, but not so much! I took the color slide in the early 1960s. The "hesitating" colors are due to the recent scanning of a slide stored without much care for about half a century, and having resisted five removals... Thanks anyhow for your appreciation.
